Foundation ("we", "our", "the app") is a habit tracking application for iOS developed by Manuel Bucher. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Data stored locally on your device:

  • Your pillar configurations and goals
  • Daily completion status and progress data
  • Journal entries and notes
  • App settings and preferences

Apple Health data (optional):

  • Step count data (read only)
  • Workout data (read only)
  • Mindfulness session data (read and write)

All habit tracking data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We do not transmit, collect, or store your personal data on any external servers.

3. Apple Health Integration

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, Foundation will access your health data solely to automatically track your daily habits. Health data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers. You can revoke health data access at any time through the app settings or iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.

4. In-App Purchases

Foundation offers optional subscription purchases ("Foundation Pro") processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information. All transactions are handled securely by Apple. Subscription management and cancellation is done through your Apple ID settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties. No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are integrated into the app. Your data stays on your device.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all app data at any time by using the "Reset App" function in settings or by deleting the app from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Foundation is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
